Sarah-Dona Manev

Sarah-Dona Manev (Saint-Tropez / France, 1983) is interested in the concept of “Non-places” and the relationship between people and their surroundings. Her upbringing within a constant changing environment has strongly influenced her as a person and as an artist. This resulted in her exploring the topic of identity in relation to the notion of “home” (the idea of feeling connected to one place), which is strongly present in her work.
Sarah works in Amsterdam as a photographer and visual artist. She studied Fine Arts at the Royal Academy in The Hague and at the Photography Academy in Amsterdam.
Since 2011 she presented her photographs and installation art in different exhibitions in the Netherlands and abroad, the latest of which showed the result of her residency at AQB cultural center in Budapest.
